CLEANING

This blog covers different ways to clean your nibs.  It also provides some tips on how to care for your nibs, so they last longer.   Cleaning nibs

By the way, pen tip and nib refer to the same thing.

This blog is a product review for Razertip’s scraper / cleaner.  Razertip claims this product will allow you to clean your nib while burning.  I will tell you now that I don’t recommend this product.  Razertip Cleaner / Scraper

Essential Pen Tips

This tutorial covers the pen tips or nibs that I consider to be essential.  Essential pen tips

I get a number of questions about brass or solid point pen tips.  I have very limited experience with them, so I’m not the best person to ask.  YouTuber Jannie from Burn Savvy has a number of videos demonstrating brass nibs.   Here’s a link to her channel:    https://www.youtube.com/burnsavvy

Jannie, thank you for allowing me to put a link to your channel on my website.

Goodcrafter burner review

This blog is a product review for the Goodcrafter burner.  Goodcrafter burner

This blog compares a heat gun versus a torch.    Some artists love to use either a torch or a heat gun to create quick dark burns.

I personally prefer a heat gun because I’m less likely to catch things on fire.   I often use a heat on to create backgrounds.   Often the use of a heat gun creates a different burn color than a pyrography nib does.  This is another reason why I like to create backgrounds with one.     Torch vs Heat gun

HELPFUL PRODUCTS FOR BURNING

This blog is a product review for the Customizer Engraver.  This is a battery operated engraver that I find to be much easier to handle than a regular sized rotary tool.  I actually use this a lot more than I thought I would.    I’ve used it to create white whiskers, smoke, and a white rose.  Customizer Engraver review

Here’s the white rose artwork I created.  It’s not overly complex.
