If there is just a video thumbnail, then there isn’t a blog available. Instead there is just a video tutorial on YouTube.

The Easter chick artwork was created using just a writer nib. The main purpose of the artwork is to help you get comfortable using a writer nib, and showcase how versatile it can be.
Below are photos of my artwork, the corresponding pattern, and a link to the tutorial video (if available). Any corresponding blogs are not functional yet.
This weathered post is a great perch for birds. The composite image contains my version of the post and the pattern.

I do want to mention that if you do this artwork, I highly recommend a much lighter background.
This artwork was completed in 2018. I wasn’t overly thrilled with out it turned out. Every time I look at a photo of it, I’m even less thrilled. The reason is that there is too much contrast between the white face feathers and the background.
My background is extremely dark and it washes out the shading on the bird’s face. The face pretty much looks like a white blob with an eyeball. If I were to do this again, I’d made the body feathers a touch darker. I’d burn the background to a dark tan color, or maybe a very light brown.
