It is finally time to work on my favorite video; the one featuring your artwork!
I really enjoy seeing the variety of subject matter and the unique artistic touches the artwork has.
Let me point out that this is not a competition.
All skill levels are welcome!
The purpose of this video is to celebrate and enjoy pyrography artwork. The greater the variety is the more entertaining it is to watch.
Here are a couple of guidelines:
1 – Send one photo. If sending more than one, then tell me which one to use.
Every year some of you send me a number of photos showcasing the different artwork you have created. That’s fine, I really enjoy looking at what you have done.
DO NOT ASK ME TO PICK ONE! That really irritates the crap out of me. I have zero desire to judge your assorted artwork, or get into a discussion of why I might like one over the other.
If you send more than one photo, make sure to tell me which one to put into the video!
2 – Take your photo straight on. I always get some submissions that are taken at an angle. That just doesn’t show as well in the video. I want your artwork to look as best as it possibly can.
Here’s a video that provides tips to taking a better photo: https://youtube.com/shorts/VN0fSXVD4U4
3 – Include how you want your name to appear in the video.
I always get a few people who don’t provide a name, and I doubt you want me to use your email address. God only knows what sort of junk email you’d start getting.
4 – If you have a YouTube channel, include the info with your submission. I will put in the video.
I will not put websites because I would need to vet them, and I have zero desire to do that.
SUBMISSION INFO:
Time frame: Now through January 14th, 2025
Name: Include how you want your name to appear in the video
Send to: PyrographyContest@gmail.com
Video will be available on my YouTube channel on: January 21, 2025
Here’s a link to my YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@PyrographyMadeEasy
Remember, this is not a contest!
Also, the email I provided is something I only use for situations like this. It doesn’t get a lot of activity, so this makes it easy to keep track of submissions. Other than when I’m asking for submissions, I very seldom check this email. The best way to get ahold of me is using the comments on YouTube. Those I generally read several times a week, and try to respond to them all.
Send a photo of your artwork soon. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you’ve created!
